COMPANY ANNOUCEMENT AM Health and Safety, Inc. (AM H&S) is pleased to announce the newest member of our team, Raffie Sessa. Raffie comes to us from Bayer Material Sciences-Americas Region. Mr. Sessa is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with 28 years of experience as an industrial hygiene and safety professional. His most recent position was, Manager of Safety and Industrial Hygiene for Bayer Material Science, L.L.C. Mr. Sessa had spent 22 years with Bayer, and has over 25 years of safety and health experience in the chemical industry at both the corporate and production facility levels. He also had 3 years of experience in the health, environmental and safety consulting business. As the Vice President of Industrial Hygiene and Safety Services, Raffie will be responsible for operations and administration of our delivery of services to our clients as well as specific client management and project management for identified AM H&S clients and projects. As part of his operations and administrative responsibilities, he will be charged with improving our organizational structure along with enhancing the professionalism of our team. Furthermore, Raffie will be responsible for business development for his clients and potential clients. With his 25+ years experience in the chemical industry, he will be charged with expanding our presence in serving this industry sector. Also, with his experience in development, implementation and auditing of safety and health management systems, Raffie will be championing to bring the related safety and health management systems support services to our clients. In addition, Raffie shall serve as the lead for the delivery of our product safety related services such as material safety data sheet (MSDS) development, globally harmonized system of classification and labeling of chemicals (GHS), and registration, evaluation, authorization of chemicals (REACH). Initially, Raffie will be back grounding and familiarizing himself with our existing procedures processes, projects, contracts, clients and staff. Also, he will be assisting or in many cases taking the lead on specific client project work and assisting on quality assurance/quality control of report reviews. In addition, he will be formulating and initiating a plan for new business/ new client development and generating the necessary proposals. From an administrative/operations standpoint, Raffie will report to the Owners/Principals and, in turn, will have the Director of Safety Services, Manager of Industrial Hygiene, and the Manager of the Midwest Regional Office reporting to him.
