DATA MANAGEMENT
|
|
|
The most integral part of evaluating the effectiveness of an employee health and safety program is
reporting and recording procedure. Methods vary from manual filing systems to sophisticated computer
systems. Without adequate records, system compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is
difficult, if not impossible, to maintain. However, with the proper tools, a data management system
is efficient, compliant, and cost effective.
As part of a full line of services, AM H&S offers data management services including Materials
Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), exposure assessments, chemical inventories, and other services aimed
at tracking programs and activities in the work environment. By using computer technology, data
can be retrieved quickly and the employer can easily review information, trends, and methods to
improve the work environment.
Data management services offered by AM H&S include:
Program Review
AM H&S can perform a review to adjust and improve the structure of existing systems.
Records Review
Existing as well as new data can be maintained and updated by AM H&S
Industrial Hygiene Data Management
AM H&S can review existing data and storage format to determine alternatives for data transfer. Customized and commercially available systems are reviewed to determine the best solutions for your company/operation. The data is then transferred into a mutually agreed upon approach that best fits the needs of your organization. This data can be maintained by AM H&S, or by designated individuals at your facility.
Training and Education
AM H&S professionals can provide training as necessary for data input, information systems, or training analysis. We can directly train employees, or train your employees to instruct their staffs.
Additional Support
Customized computer support also is available in either existing or new programs.
