For added litigation protection, AM H&S utilizes third party, independent laboratories for off work site analysis.
The following are two of the full-service, independent laboratories provide AM H&S with sample analysis services UEC, an independent laboratory, is a subsidiary of USX Corporation that provides industrial hygiene and environmental analysis. As an outgrowth of USX Corp., the experienced chemists and technicians at UEC Lab have practical knowledge of the industrial hygiene chemistry needs related to the steel and metals industry. UEC Lab is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). RJ Lee Group, Inc. is an independent, high technology materials characterization laboratory, which provides analytical services in areas such as asbestos, silica, and lead. The laboratory provides analysis and characterization of air bulk, water, and dust asbestos, metals, and organic vapor samples utilizing extensive microscopy capabilities including phase contrast microscopy (PCM), polarized light microscopy (PLM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-Ray diffraction (XRD), gas chromatography, ion chromatography.
